Danny Kantar

Tennis and education background

Danny Kantar is the co-founder of Colossal Tennis.

A top ranked player throughout his career in the Northern Section, Danny played his high school tennis at Minneapolis South High School and collegiately at Kalamazoo College.

Later, transferring to the University of Minnesota, Danny graduated Summa Cum Laude with a major in Communication Studies. Afterwards he continued his educational pursuits receiving his Master of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University.

Coaching Experience

A USPTA Elite Professional with over 25 years of high performance coaching experience, Danny has helped players at every age and stage of their competitive journeys from players taking their very first steps on court all the way to USTA Gold Ball winning national champions in pursuit of professional tennis.

In addition, he is a past winner of the Northern Section Ward C. Burton Junior Development Award, a USTA High Performance Specialist in Player Development, a Northern Section Team USA and Early Development Center coach, and past head coach of the USTA Northern 14 & Under Zonal Team.

When Danny is off-court he can be found spending lots of time with his wonderful wife and children, and playing classical and jazz guitar.
