Author: Danny Kantar

Danny Kantar is the co-founder of Colossal Tennis. A top ranked player throughout his career in the Northern Section, Danny played his high school tennis at Minneapolis South High School and collegiately at Kalamazoo College. Later, transferring to the University of Minnesota to pursue his education, Danny graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota with a major in Communication Studies. Afterwards he received his Master of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University. A past winner of the Northern Section’s Ward C. Burton Junior Development Award, Danny is a USTA High Performance Specialist in Player Development, USPTA Elite Professional, Northern Section Team USA and Early Development Center coach, and current co-head coach of the Northern Section 14 and Under Zonal Team. Furthermore, Danny is a long-standing member of the USTA Northern Section Player ID Committee, and regular contributor to the USTA Northern Exposure magazine. With over 15 years of high performance professional coaching experience with players of all ages, Danny has helped lead several students to the #1 USTA Northern Section ranking and to top 100 USTA National rankings. Countless numbers of his students have won USTA Northern Section tournaments going on to become some of the most highly ranked and successful players within the Northern Section with many pursuing collegiate tennis playing careers.
